Care

Hang it!

It is best to use a hook or screw to attach the flower pouch. Make sure it is firmly attached, because the pouch can be quite heavy when the potting soil is well moist.

To prevent the flower pouch from rolling over (top), you can fix the pouch with two hooks / screws (bottom).

Watering

It is often thought that the wall hanger will automatically stay wet when it has rained. This is not the case, the surface into which the water can fall is limited. So make sure that the flower pouch remains moist. Too much water is not possible, because a hole has been made at the bottom of the pouch where the excess water can drain.

Use a PET bottle

To make watering easier, you can use a PET bottle. You can fill this with water and then place it upside down in the black plastic pipe (photos on the right). This forces the water from the bottle through holes in the watering pipe. This keeps all the water in the flower pouch. If you do this once every 2 days in sunny weather, and once every 3 days in darker weather, the flower pouch will have enough water available for optimal flowering.

Do not worry if the plants in the flower pouch have dried out a bit, in many cases you do not have to throw them away. Take the time to completely wet the potting compost again, within a few days the plants will recover.

Fertilizing

The potting soil is specially formulated for the flower pouch. It slowly releases fertilizers in the right amount and composition. This will not be enough for a long period of time. When the plants appear to be short of fertilizers (yellow leaves, fewer flowers) you can add bedding plant food. This is available at garden centers.
